Production Tips

Producing an individual field program, step by step:

1.      Become certified in equipment of choice (Digital or SVHS cameras, editing)

2.      Formulate program idea. What is the subject? How long will it be? What format?

3.      Fill out a program proposal. Your program must be ready to air four months from submission date.

4.      Meet with your mentor.

5.      Begin preproduction, gather crew, talent, props, write script, complete talent releases, secure locations.

6.      Reserve field equipment. Submit a facilities reservation listing all accessories needed,

7.      Begin production.

8.      Begin post production (editing) as you compile source footage.

9.      Finish post production.

10.  Submit your tape for cablecast on B-TV25.
