Media Services for hire
Policy: The traditional model of producing at BCM involves becoming a member, taking workshops and getting certified to use the equipment and facilities. Occasionally, individuals and organizations do not wish to follow the traditional model for producing at BCM. Therefore, the following media services policy serves as a guide to eligibility for BCM production services: BCM may be contracted to produce Public Service Announcements, promotional videos, training videos and to provide other Media Services to Berkeley government departments, educational entities, non-profit organizational BCM members and individual BCM members only. All video productions must appear on B-TV channel 28 at least once after production is complete. BCM may not be contracted for commercial media services projects.
Rates:
- Editing (includes logging if needed): $30 / hour (3 hr. minimum)
- Videotaping (single camera): $40/hour (3 hr. minimum) or with sound person $60/hour
- Producer: $30 / hour
- Multi-Camera Field Shoot with Portable Studio: $100 / hour (3 hr. minimum)
- Main Studio Rental - $40/hour ($50/hour during closed hours)
- Main Studio Production (with full crew) - $120/hour
- Express Studio Production: $40/hour
- Video Projector or DV Deck Rental: $50/day
- Tape or DVD duplication: $20 each
