Grab a camera and make a 10min film. Make it scary, make it a parody, and use as much blood as you can! Oh yeah, for pete's sake, AIM TO IMPRESS THE AUDIENCE! Production value goes a LONG WAY!
Content Restrictions: Any films containing race, sexual, or religious discrimination will not be considered. In addition, submissions can not contain advertising for a product or service, or financial solicitation.
FORMATS: miniDV, DVCAM, and DVD
All submissions MUST have the following info directly printed or written on the discs/tapes themselves: TITLE, CONTACT NAME, PHONE. EMAIL. DURATION OF MOVIE, TIMECODE INFORMATION (if applicable).
For miniDV/DVCAM formats:
* 1 Minute of BLACK SCREEN
* Your Feature (10 minutes or less)
* 1 Minute of BLACK SCREEN
For DVD-R formats:
MAKE SURE TO MAKE YOUR FILM A CLICKABLE CHAPTER IN THE MAIN MENU. DO NOT SET UP THE DVD TO AUTOMATICALLY PLAY WHEN IT'S PLACED IN A PLATER.
The Chapter should include:
* 15 seconds of BLACK SCREEN
* Your Feature (10 minutes or less)
* 1 Minute of BLACK SCREEN
Note: Tapes / Discs will not be returned, so please do NOT send us your only copy!

Berkeley Community Media presents The First Annual BCM Summer Shorts Movie Jam: 48 Hour Film Festival.
Gather your crew and come to the informational launch party July 28th at 5pm.
The contest begins at 6pm and over the next 48 hours you will create an original 5 minute short film to be shown on the big screen Saturday July 30th at 8pm.
