Mission
Our mission is to build an electronic free speech forum in order
to encourage democratic involvement and build community.
Berkeley Community Media (BCM) is dedicated to the protection of
free speech and community access to the media by and for Berkeley
residents. Many people know us through B-TV, Channel 28, the community
access television station run by BCM that airs City Council meetings
and community-produced programming. We also provide low-cost classes,
access to equipment and studio time, student internships, and ongoing
advocacy with the City and Comcast to protect and enhance these
resources for Berkeley residents.
Quick Facts
- BCM has been around since 1994
- We have over 200 members who live in Berkeley and serve many
